Installing oil pump and reservoir for 2001 115hp 2 stroke

I bought this boat used last year and it is a 2001 Yamaha 115hp 2-stroke. I have to premix the gas-oil mixture and was wondering if the oil pump was an option when new and if I can install one. I've had a few commetns that it is strange that a 115 would have to be premixed. What would be the concerns?

""automatic" oil injection concerns a lot of old timers.At 50:1 premix NOTHING can go wrong!!! Automatic oil injection systems have caused many expensive engine failures.Just look at your motor , there are 4 small hoses that come off the pump and lead to the intake manifold, if one of those hoses cracked / fell off ( no alarm for that condition )it would result in no oil to that cylinder.Other motors use plastic gears to drive oil pumps.Mixing oil yourself is a good idea, unless of course you have lots of money and can afford to buy a new motor."
