Model Year of Motor amp Starter Question

" I have a 35hp Evinrude &

" I have a 35hp Evinrude & I would like to know the year. The #'s on the transom plate are: 35514-28273.
The starter is working only half of the time; can a new one be purchased or do I need to find a rebuilt one? Or can mine be rebuilt?
Any help would be much appreciated !

" Your outboard is a 1958.As far as the starter goes ,checkout your local starter and alternator
rebuilder as new are not available.
