"Hi, I have a Volvo Penta 5.0

"Hi, I have a Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI w/SX-A and when checking trim fluid noticed that the shift cable does not have seal going through transom plate. Can someone look at the attached picture and see if this is correct or missing.

"Nothing is missing. VP shift

"Nothing is missing. VP shift cables go through a rubber hose (part 41) which is installed vertically on the inside part of the transom. The upper grommet in the hose seals around the shifting cable, preventing any water ingress.
