"hey gang.... I am ready to "update" the motor in my boat... it is a 74 OMC 165Hp. inline 6... tough motor, but it is old and seen it's day... I plan on rebuilding it possibly... here's the question... I have a motor I would like to put in it.. it is a 5.7L 350... I just rebuilt this motor over the winter and am wondering if it will work, or would it put too much stress on the electric shift... if not, I also have another inline 6 4.3L that I can put in and that motor is an 84... not as old but nat as new as the 350, which is 92... any suggestions? comments?"
