Engine Alignment Problem

I have just replaced the 5.7GL

I have just replaced the 5.7GL engine in my boat but have ran into a problem when trying to align the engine. The engine seems to be sitting to high in the rear for the alignment tool to even start into the coupler. I know there is adjustment on the front of the engine but what about the rear?
 
"no adjustment. remove the nut

"no adjustment. remove the nuts, and washers. make sure the square lug on top of the rear mounts is straight in the slot of the flywheel housing. if they are turned, rear of engine will sit too high. good luck."
