My 79 kohler 7.5R was doing just fine when the ac power was lost. genset kept running fine and still starts right up but no ac. No tripped cb's or bad connections. I believe the small voltage regulator located just above the windings & pick up is bad . does anyone know how to trouble shoot or where i can send to have tested. It is a small 1 x 1-1/2" part with 5 male spade terminals 2 of which say ac. I would like to confirm this is problem before i give kohler $288.00 for a new one!
