I have recently overhauled th

I have recently overhauled the above engine. I am running a 19 prop. The engine will normally only rev to 4500rpm. I recently stored the engine for the winter and noticed an immediate improvement in power and performance. The engone freely revved to 5200rpm and acheived a 10kmph speed increase. The motor has also stopped surging at top revs. How can this hibernation have cured the motor??

DAVID ODDS ARE NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN YOUR MOTOR. YOUR MOTOR IS MADE TO REV UP TO 5500 RPM SO YOU MAY WISH TO CONSIDER A PROP CHANGE. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU MAY HAVE HAD SOME BAD GAS OR THAT SOMETHING YOU HAVE ALTERD HAS EFFECTED YOUR MOTOR. I HAVE SEEN WHERE 'SOMETIMES' CARBS GET RESTRICTED WITH DEBRIS AND CLEAR THEMSELVES BUT THAT IS RARE. GOOD LUCK. LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT MERCMAN
