" My engine after 3 trouble-free years is finally causing grief. I have had the engine checked by a dealership and they have no idea what the problem is. My problem is that, it will not idle properly anymore, and pops and misses. The engine will also just take off and run at full throtle for a few seconds then quit, on it's own or sit and backfire, smoke then quit. The only difference I have noticed was that the primer bulb is not quite as firm as it once was. It all started at once, after a 10 min. run. Plugs have been replaced as well as the fuel filter. Gas is fresh, and high octane. The dealer suggested that possibly the ECM ( computer) may be to blame. On the readout he noticed the high reving at times after being started. Help "
