My recently repowered 99 225

My recently repowered 99 225 Seahorse stalls out quite often after the engine is warm when I shift from nutral into drive. I have changed both the fuel filter and the plugs to no avail. Any thoughts?

"Check compression, should be approx 100 psi and even on all cylinders. Leave s/plugs out and check spark, should jump a 7/16" gap with a strong blue lightning like flame on all cylinders.

If the above checks out okay, either the carbs are fouled (usually), or you have the idle set too low (common mistake). On a flushette, that 225hp looper should be idling at approximately 1400 rpm. The rpms will drop to normal when the engine is in the water.

There is also a shift cutout switch on that engine that momentarily knocks out one banks ignition when shifting (so quick one can't notice it). Possible that it might stick at times although I have never encountered it personally.
