" I have a 1976 200hp V6 that is not running at full power. It starts great, idles great, it runs smooth and has even compression of 120 on all cylinders. I have checked the carb sync and it appears that they are fine. When I hit the throttle, power is smooth but it feels but it like something is holding the power back. Then when running full throttle there is a noise/knock. The knock/noise it somewhat intermittant but it seems to be at the point of power loss. I have noticed that the power seems to fall off at 1/2-3/4 throttle and the noise shows up after 1/2 throttle. "
