" Help:
I have a Force 35 , 1987 mod 357F7B, ser. 1779 that over heated at idle & quit running.Engine ran great before this but didn't seem to have much water coming out at idle. Quite a bit more at full thottle. I assumed water pump problem. When I drained lower unit it contained water. Pulled lower unit apart also to check for problems. Didn't see anything obvious. Impeller did not look bad but relaced it anyway. Now having trouble getting lower unit back together. Can't seemed to get shift clevis on rod properly. It won't shift when I get it back together. Cant see if clevis is in proper pos. What is sequence to reassemble. I have all bolts out from exhaust on down. Have manual coming but still need advise. Any would be appreciated.
Should I be looking for other water pump problems?
