"just bought a boat with an '03 70hp yamie. when i push the key in to the choke position with the engine running i see or hear no signs of the choke system working, ie rough running and going dead. i read another post that says these motors today have a electric fuel enrichment system that takes the place of an electric choke. on my past motor which was a '93 60hp johnson i could hear the choke solenoid click when i pushed the key in, but i hear nothing on the new motor. should i be able to hear something or notice a change in the motor running when i push the key to the choke position on this motor??? thx in advance."
