I just bought a boat with a 20

I just bought a boat with a 2001 Johnson 70HP on it and the motor looks Brand New if it has 10 hrs on it i would be shocked! BUT in the #2 cylinder the piston in it has a hole burned in the top the size of a quarter ( I knew this when i bought it)! Now would this be caused by a oil problem or a electrical problem? I had two different boat mechanic look at it one said electrical (firing at the wrong time) and the other said it was a oil problem???? Which one is right???? Both ???
