" Hi, having just brought a new boat, we have just discovered that the outboard doesn't run. The starter lifts up to engage with the flywheel but the flywheel won't turn. We have tried to turn the flywheel manually but with no luck. Any Ideas on what might be causing the problem/how to remove the flywheel? Any help would be very greatful!!!! "
 
Good chance you bought somebo

Good chance you bought somebody's problem. Drop the lower unit and see if the motor or lower unit is jammed. Any sign of water on the sparkplugs?

How do i do this? Sorry I am only just learning when it comes to boat engines. I'll check the spark plugs in a bit. Thanks fo the help. Do you hav any diagrams that you could email me?
