"I just purchased a 1999 Bayliner 2858 with 400 hrs on a 7.4L MPI with a bravo three outdrive. The only problem is the boat sat for a long time and was not used much in the last few years. It has dual stations. Above, the RPM gauge works fine and the oil gauge reads at 80psi with very small fluctuations. Below, the oil gauge is pegged at 80 even when the motor is not running, and the RPM gauge is jumpy and reads lower than the one above deck. When I purchased the boat, none of the 12v systems would work due to a loose and corroded wiring harness at the back of the motor. Any ideas?"
