"I have heard that NEO in California have a good synthetic outdrive gear oil, that supposedly reduces friction and wear, and is generally better than good old Merc dino-oil drive lube.
Anyone ever used this stuff at all?

Bondo;
That Mobil 1 is likely a much better product than the Merc stuff. I run Mobil 1 engine oil in my GMC Sierra and it seems to work well.
I assume it has treated you well?

A few years ago, I had a small Leak Issue,....
It's Amazing how much Water that oil will hold in suspension,+ Still have more lubricity than Dino-oil........
And,.....
Yes,.. There's Mobil 1, 15W-50 in the engine......"
