I have twin 671's in a Sea

I have twin 671's in a Sea Ray Sundancer 500. Does anyone have any ideas on how to dampen the noise level of these machines. Also any thoughts as to the cruise rpm. I've run them at all rpm's and and still get the same fuel consumption per mile. (.5 miles per gallon for both engines at 1600 rpm's or 2200 rpm's) That works out to 15 gallons per hour per engine at 1600 rpm and 20 per engine at 2000 rpm.

Thanks

I would like to cruise at top

I would like to cruise at top rpm since the fuel burn is the same per mile. But I've always cruised at 1950 because I thought it was the proper rpm for ware and tear. Once again thanks
