"ok i want to add another battery to my boat to run my blower's pumps radio, etc. i currently have one battery running the engine, starter and everything else... i am taking the engine and everything on it and keeping it on the original circuit... now the other things on switch's i am underway rewiring to the new battery... got the battery positive things worked out but wanted to know if i could just jump the negative to the other's batteries negative and keep the negative grounds where they are just feed them from both batteries or will this not help the second battery and cause them to draw from both as one.... just wanted to know if i had to ground these things to the new battery and keep it all isolated or can the two batteries be grounded to gather...(like both going to a common ground on the block of the engine it's the same as going from one negative post on the battery to the next battery)"
