Considering purchasing a late

Considering purchasing a late 80's or early 90's 46 ft Post with 692's Does anyone know the fuel consumption at cruise with the generator running? 8-12 kw. Also I have been told that in general the 692's tend to hold up better and has a longer lag between overhauls than the 892 is this right?
