" I have a 110HP outboat fishing boat on which there are 2 12 volt batteries for a 24 volt trolling motor, a battery for accessories, and a starting battery, making a total of 4 batteries. Currently, I have the motor alternator charging the starting battery only. I am looking for a sensible set-up for dock-side charging of the batteries as well as leaving in "float" mode when I am not using the boat (the boat generally goes from 1-3 months between use).
Most battery chargers I have seen can charge a maximum of 3 banks, while I have 4 batteries. Can I set-up two batteries in parallel for charging purposes and use one of the banks for these two batteries? Any ideas would be appreciated. "
