" I WENT OUT FISHING TODAY, EVERY TIME I HIT WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOP END, THEN ENGINE WOULD CUT BACK, AND I COULD NOT GET THE SPEED OUT OF IT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO. IT HAS NEW PLUGS, AND PROPER FUEL MIXTURE, THE ENGINE STARTS GREAT, IT STUMBLES A BIT WHILE AT A REAL LOW IDLE, BUT IT NEVER DIES. FROM THE HOLE AND MID RANGE IT HAS GOOD PULL, BUT IT DOES NOT GET PASSED MID RANGE, AND I CANT GET FULL RPM OUT OF IT, ANY SUGGESTIONS ANY ONE "

First make sure the

First make sure the timing advance is free to move through the full range, and the throttle plate and linkage also.

If these seem okay, you probably should remove the carb and inspect it thoroughly. There may be some debris in the float chamber or the high speed jet.

It seems , from start to middle trottle the rpms go up, but once I hit were full throtle should be, the engine seems to drop rpms , and power. "
