my 1977 55hp johnson wont idl

my 1977 55hp johnson wont idle. Ive cleaned the carbs. replaced the fuel pump. new plugs. good gas.what could it be.runs great at high revs.
any help apreciated
 
Carburetors are rarely the ca

Carburetors are rarely the cause of a poor performing motor. Do a compression test and check the timing ( a sheared flywheel key will throw the timing out).
