I have a problem with my johnson 35 motor,the motor whines when I push the throttle
..sounds like a transmission slipping,also it is slipping as far as the prop grabbing water.
reverse works and super slow foward works.
friend says I should send to shop,i think I can fix it!!thank you

GO get the prop rehubbed.Are you trying to use a short shaft motor on a 20" transom?? Boat bottom dirty??Baitwell fittings or transducer in front of engine??

" have a 35 evenrude 1979, when adjsuted to shift into reverse then it will not go into forward ,until the slightest nudge to the shift arm ! .Also are these controled by electric sensors in anyway?? "
 
My 75hp Chrysler outboard is

My 75hp Chrysler outboard is also slipping when throttling up. Had prop rehubbed and problem still exists. Condition also exsits in reverse. Any suggestions?
