" I have a L6 Merc about an 1986. I am helping a friend. We bought a shop manual and did the diag. We pinned out the trigger(ok), the stator(one wire was high in resisance), the switchbox (smoked, doesn't after replacing)and I still have no spark. If I only had a wiring diagram of what should be AT the switch box I could figure out what I am missing. The mercury switch has been disconnected( so that's not it). On crank I have full 12volts at the red on the rectifier and a building up voltage at one of the yellow on the rectifier.It cranks good. My friend was driving it until it just died on him.Wha-Lah, my problem now. Please help. "
