" My insurance company wants the serial number from my 1989 Johnson 150 HP outboard. I can't find it anywhere. Can someone give me a clue where to look?

" John I have the same motor and it can be found in 2 places,there is a small round plate with the no. stamped on it, its located on the port side of the head below the flywheel,there is also a sticker on the port side of the transom bracket.
Serial no. will start with eg. J150tlcur...
