I have rebuilt the ignition s

I have rebuilt the ignition system and stator etc on a '73 30hp.It runs fine but I am getting water in the lower unit. The motor sat in dry storage for 15 years before I rebuiklt it last year.I'm thinking that maybe a seal has shrunk and went bad or something. What would be the first place to look?? I've heard of pressurizing it with low psi(7-10 lbs ??) Do I do this through the water intake for the water pump?? Please clarify as I've never done this before.Thank you in advance for any replies.

Water in the lower unit means

Water in the lower unit means that it needs repairs. Cooling water and the lower unit are not connected. You put pressure in thru the oil drain hole and leave the vent plug in.
