WHEN I CHANGED MY IGNITION ON MY MOTOR I LOST SPARK TO MY PLUG WIRES. I NEED HELP TO TRY AND SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

there are three things in this problem
points statetor or wrong wiring i don.t know if this is going to help sorry

" HI SCOTT...AS WITH MOST OLDER VINTAGE THE POINT SETS ARE UNDER THE FLYWHEEL. REMOVE THE TAPER NUT HOLD DOWN AND TAP THE FLYWHEEL AS YOU TURN IT. A 4 OR 5 POUND HAMMER WORKS WELL.TAPPING FROM UNDERNEATH THE FLY WHEEL THE FLYWHEEL SHOULD REMOVE WITH A FEW TURNS. DONT LOOSE THE KEY WAY. THE POINTS MAY BE UNDER A SMALL COVER..OR OPEN. USE A CRISP NEW $100 BILL..(A SECTION OF STRIKING SURFACE FROM A MATCH BOOK WILL ALSO WORK) DRAW THIS THROUGH THE POINT SET WHEN THE POINTS ARE CLOSED. INSPECT FOR BURNING AND MIALIGNMENT ALSO REPLACE IF NECC...SET THE POINTS WITH A CLEAN FEELER GAGE AS PER SPECS ON THE HIGH POINT OF THE CAM FOR EACH SET.
REINSTAL THE FLYWHEEL...DONT FORGET THE KEY WAY...TIGHTEN NUT TO SPECS...HOOK UP WATER TO YOUR SEA PUMP AND THEN IT SHOULD START. IF IT DOES NOT WITHIN A FEW TURNS YOU HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM..CHECK 12 VOLT TO COIL...UNLESS ITS A MAG SET UP. COILS NEXT AND FUEL PROBLEMS AFTER THAT. BE SURE WIRE 1 GOES TO CORRECT SPARLK PLUG..AND SO ON I HAVE FOUND OVER 40 YRS OF KEEPING OUR BOATS RUNNING ITS MOSTLY HIGH VOLTAGE PROBLEMS 1ST..MOISTURE IN DIST CAP..IF YOU HAVE ONE...OLD CRACKED WIRES,LOOSE WIRES FOR 12 V FEEDS. FUEL SHOWS NEXT..DIRT IN FILTERS FROM NOT GOOD STORAGE HABITS AT YOUR FUEL SOURCES. ALSO CHECK FOR THAT KEY WAY..I HAVE HED THESE ACTUALLY SHEAR OFF...THIS PROBLEM WILL CAUSE ONE FITS ! DROP ME ANOTHER NOTE IF MY PLAN DOSEN'T WORK. KEEP YOUR ROPE DRY...CLIFF "
