Leaking carbs on 150hp

" ive just rebuilt the three cabs on my outboard, replacing seals and floats, when i prime it to start fuel leaks out the chamber and even when the motor is ticking over you can see a film of fuel forming in the chamber.what can cause this? thanks in advance.

"Ralph.... Hopefully you also installed new float needle valve assemblies, if not, do so.

Perhaps the floats are not adjusted perfectly. Holding the upper carburetor body upside down and looking at the float from the side, adjust the float so that it is ever so slightly higher on the end opposite the hinge pin, very slightly! Looking at the end view of the float, it should be straight across, not be cocked.
