trying to replace my water pum

trying to replace my water pump impeller.dont know how to get the lower unit to drop down. someone sayes thers a pin or something that you have to remove to get it to drop.can anyone help.

"David did you disconnect the

"David did you disconnect the shift rod from under the carbs. If not remove the cowl,then the air box look at center under carbs there is a 10mm bolt remove it and slide the aluminum block off of the shift rod it then should drop."
