I need a drawing of the carbs

I need a drawing of the carbs and how they are linked to throttle and fuel lines. Thanks in advance.

Sorry about that. Musta been tired or otherwise stupid. The engine is a 1979 250A. Cant seem to find what I'm looking for in these sites yet but I will keep looking. Thanks fellas.

"1979? According to Volvo Penta, the 250A was produced between 1989 and 1992, and it was a Volvo 4 cylinder OHC very similar to the AQ145. What engine are we talking about here?"

"The boat is a 1979. Says so on the title anyway. There is a plaque on the block just behind the starter that reads;
250A
86826 2200113298 9806
The block casting number is B230

In my ignorance I thought this was probably the original engine. It certainly was rusty enough.
Anyway, it has dual Solex carbureators and I wanted a drawing of the throttle linkage and fuel tubing setup before I took everything apart so I could clean and kit them before breaking in the newly rebuilt engine. That way I can't forget how to put ithe whole mess back together. Any other information you have about this engine would be greatly appreciated since I obviously don't know beans about it.
Sorry for the confusion."

"Jack,

Your engine is suppo

"Jack,

Your engine is supposedly a 250/SP, which is the same as the AQ151/SP. You can download the instructions & brochure for the engine from these links:

http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/global/en-gb/marineengines/out_of_production_eng ines/

http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/global/en-gb/marineengines/operators_manual/

Here is a dumb question. If you have not (yet) taken apart your engine carbs and fuel lines, would it not make sense to take a few pictures with a digital camera so that you can put things back together the way they were now? And if you have already taken the whole thing apart, I suggest you should ask someone who owns an AQ145, AQ151 or AQ171 to take some pictures of the intake manifold/carbs/fuel lines and upload them here.

I also see that this site sells the workshop manual for your engine for $25:

http://www.marineengine.com/manuals/volvo/volvo_penta_sterndrive_gas.html

And finally, never underestimate the Seloc and Clymer manuals.

"El,
I have been reading your posts for some time now and I don't think there is anything dumb about you. In fact, I will wreck the batteries in my camera tomorrow. Great idea! Sometimes my grasp of the obvious slips a bit. I have the Clymer manual but it does not show and exploded view of this set-up. I just wanted to make certain I got everything back in the right place.
Thanks for the help and the new knowledge."
