AQ260 New Alternator

"I got a new replacement alter

"I got a new replacement alternator the other day, and Im not sure how to hook it up. It is
different than the old one.

On the old one, the top right says 61...a black wire was connected to it. D- is purple and B+
was red.
If I were to guess, I would say the purple goes to white, black to black, and red to battery.

"Ok, well I found out the white is the exciter wire and black is for the tach.

Does that mean the exciter side goes to the coil?"
