" Hi,
I've just bought a Bayliner Capri with a Evinrude 90 VRO.
The previous owner told me to put premix in the tank at 50:1, is this ratio correct?
Now, regarding the VRO...I have got the impression from reading various msgs on this forum that VRO is an oil mixing system that uses separate oil and straight fuel tanks.
So, as I was told to put premix in the tank, I would like to assume that the VRO system has been disabled....but, what am I looking for, where are the VRO components, how can I be sure the VRO is disconnected properly.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

" Nigel; It is quite easy to "disable" the 'vro',disconnect the oil hose and plug the nipple on the pump, disconnect the 3or4 wire harness from the 'vro'pump, and the tank should be removed from the boat to eliminate any mistakes. The 'vro' pump is black plastic device with 4 nipples/hoses 3 on bottom 1 on top between carbs and starter motor engine portside, the smallest nipple is for oil,on the smallest end of pump.
