"Hello I am going to have my 318 rebuilt and want to know what some of you reccomend for a good stock to mild performance replacement camshaft. Nothing radical.

What is a good source for some good cast aluminum pistons .020 or stock bore. I dont really need forged and dont want hypers.

"Unless you are running a real

"Unless you are running a really light boat you're wise to use a stock marine camshaft (or you might end up suck water in through the exhausts). If you do have a really light boat--no more than 3,000 lbs.--then a stock auto camshaft will do. Avoid anything hotter than that or (see the above).

Any decent auto pistons will work. Don't laugh, but I bought ALL of my racing pistons from J C Whitney (along with camshafts and other stuff). The parts are made in Brazil on the same machinge GM uses to build their regular parts.
