"Just got a new 15HP 4 stroke

"Just got a new 15HP 4 stroke susuki ob. Previous exp.most ob 40 yrs ago had a breakpin installed to save propellor from damage. What will happen now with this advanced model? Preparing the machine for test run, I cannot make sense of filling the gearbox with oil, from underneath (drain hole)

If you hit something you will

If you hit something you will damage the prop.Fill oil from the bottom hole till it comes out the top.Put the top plug in. Remove the filling device and install the bottom plug

"Because the gear box is well sealed to keep the water out, if you put the oil in the top hole it would create air pockets inside the gear case. By filling from the bottom, it forces the air out and ensures it is completely full of gear oil."
