"I got my vessel on dry dock a

"I got my vessel on dry dock at the present time.I just ran a mixture of antifreeze through the engine line where the water comes in and exits the boat.After running approx 2 gal of liquid in the out line it came out through the in line,and i also purged the water pump so no water would be caught in the pump.Was this enough to winterize the engine? Also would like some tips on restarting the engine upon return to the water."

What you did would be Ok as long as the thermostat opened up, if it didn't there is still water in the block. The fact you saw anti freeze coming out the exhuast doesn't count unless your sure the engine was hot, and the block loop was open. If not redo it or pull the thermostat"
