I have a Yamaha 36hp marine inboard in my yacht which is salt water cooled. Water seal on water pump appears to have failed allowing water into oil with extensive foaming/thickening of oil. I am satisfied water is not in combustion chamber. What is the best way to remove foamed oil? Running engine with new oil is not removing it and kerosene does not have much effect either.
Is running engine while fixing our problem likely to cause damage?
