"I have a 2006 70HP, 2-cycle e

"I have a 2006 70HP, 2-cycle engine running on a 18 ft Alumacraft. When running about 1500 RPM, the engine runs rough but doesn't seem to be missing. Lower or higher than 1500 RPM it runs fine. I have taken it to the dealer and they can't find any problem. I have used different gas and changed spark plugs and same problem.
Any ideas, Thanks ............."
 
This may well be common.A moto

This may well be common.A motor has a "low speed circuit " in the carburetor and a " high speed circuit" and 1500 RPM is inbetween.You may have to accept the fact that outboards are often designed for idle or near full throttle operation.
