"This is a great site very helpful to the newbie.I have a 22ft cuddy cabin with a 302ford and would like to replace the prop. The on on there now is 12-835467-1 and is pretty beatup. I only get around 3300-3600rpm at wot and would like to know if it should be turning faster, and what size prop could I replace this with to recieve a faster plane. Thankyou very much for your time."

"According to my google search

"According to my google search that mercruiser part number crosses to the thrust hub. Are there any other numbers on the prop itself?
Something like "14.25 x 17" The "14.25" indicates the diameter of the prop. The "17" indicates the pitch, which is the distance the boat would (ideally) move through the water for 1 revolution.
Your WOT rpms are way down, which is most likely due to the prop being damaged. I'd get that changed before you trash the bearings in the lower unit."

I have search all over the wheel but just found these numbers MICHIGAN 031052.

Michigan Wheel Prop #031052: 15-1/2x18 3 blade RH Aluminum
That's pretty big. I'm asuming your drive is an Alpha?
I'd drop that back to a 14x17 and see where your at... that should give you all around decent performance.

"Click on the link to the right "propellers".
or do a google search for "boat propeller".
You'll want to replace the hub along with it, and get a new prop nut and lock-tab washer.
I believe the MR prop shaft is the same as the Alpha-1 so a prop that fits an Alpha 1 ought to fit... I'll need some help confirming that from some of the guys with experience on the older drives."
