I canbt get my 75 hp Honda to run unless the choke is on

" switched to clean 91 octane fuel, the fuel is flowing past the filter. The motor runs with the choke on above 1500 rpm. It runs fairly smoothly at 2000 rpm and above, with the choke on. As soon as I cut off the choke it sputters and dies.

Any suggestions? "

"Mike.... The Honda engines are not my line of expertise, but what you're describing is a clogged, fouled carburetor. The cure (in my opinion) would be to remove the carb, clean and rebuild it.

" Joereeves is right, you need to rebuilt the carbs. After cleaning all the jets, check for the jet inside the pipe to be OK.
Next time use fuel stabilizer. For cleaning I recommend to use carb cleaner from Yamaha. Good luck. "

I have a 40 Hp Evinrude that had a VRO system but the previous owner removed the system . Doen any one knows where I can get a used one .
