Correct size prop

"Hi : I am restoring a 280 Chris Craft and will have a 350 ,300 HP engine I was wondering if that will let me use a 16X14 Prop or is that to much prop?Thanks, Bill Smith"

"Shooting from the hip, I'd say that's probably not going to be enough prop.
Once you get it in the water, you can see what you've got. You want the WOT rpm's to be 4400-4800 or so. To high... you need a bigger prop, too low... smaller."

In order to get All of that 300hp,.....
You'll need to Prop to right At 4800rpms......"
