I have a 25 hp Johnson outboa

I have a 25 hp Johnson outboard that runs fine in idle and in neutral but when I put it in gear it has very little power. I have checked for spark on both cylinders and that is good. I have also cleaned the carb and readjusted settings still no luck. Any ideas?

The spark MUST jump a gap of at least a 1/4" . Any less means that realy you have no spark.A spark plug needs a lot more voltage at 100PSI compression than firing while laying on the block. Check for broken or chipped reed valve.Check for blown head gasket.Check for sheared flywheel key.
