" Picked up and installed the
" Picked up and installed the new carb and cam. As they appear to only make the assembly for remote start, had to hack saw off the solenoid bracket.
Found that the existing opening on the 25 intake manifold was only .050 smaller than the carb throat. Cleared the flash from the casting and got it down to about .035" rim showing. Started it up and ran it in a test tank, and it seems a bit lumpy at idle, otherwise OK. Adjusting the jet from the factory setting didn't help.
Is this lumpy idle (like an old Harley) just a Johnson thing, or should I buy and install a new 30hp. intake manifold?
