DT50 Suzuki Outboard What Year is it and any other info

Just bought a boat with a Suz

Just bought a boat with a Suzuki 50Hp outboard on it it has DT50 on the serial plate as well as 5001 what ever that means? any help on the year model or service manual or any info at all would be great.

Mark: I believe that you will have to take your serial number to a Suzuki dealer to get your model year. There is no production date code in the model number. Good luck.

" Suzuki dealer in Australia still looking, The motor was siezed when i bought it but have freed it up and got it going. Need new head gasket and all is well, a service manual would be great but thanks for getting back to me
