I took a 1998 50hp Merc to a mechanic to have the engine pressure tested before I buy it. The engine had not been started for 2 months and the temp outside was cold (10 degrees). The first two cylinders were both at 125. The third (bottom) however was at 105. He then started the engine and let it warm a bit. When he tested it again all three were at 125. My question: Is this acceptable and what would cause the difference. I have no ideas so any help is appreciated. Everything else seemed OK.
