Is this a reliable combinatio

Is this a reliable combination? How difficult will repair parts for this drive be to find in the future? What is the value of this boat compared to one with a 5.7 Mercruiser? Thanks for any help on this.

King Cobra is made by Volvo. They are outdated and you can't find parts.

Upgrade to a 280 or 290 Volvo outdrive.
 
OMC Cobra outdrives are prett

OMC Cobra outdrives are pretty reliable. OMC went out of business in late 92. Volvo did buy them out. Parts are still rearily available. Any well up to date dealership can get them and do service work as well. The mercruiser outdrive (Alpha I and Bravo) are more suited for higher horsepower. I currently have an OMC cobra with a 5.8 and open exhaust. I'm very satisfied with its performance.
