Johnson Shipmaster

"Bought motor from local marin

"Bought motor from local marine dealer. Sticker on cover says "shipmaster". Can now see outline of typical "seahorse" decal underneath. Paint on cover is green but is flaking off to reveal a lighter blue color. Data plate is broken off so can not tell model or year. Hood is 3 pieces. Seperate from front to back, rather than side to side, and has a third plate covering the spark plugs. Freeze plug shows a symbol of an H inside a Triangle. Stator plate is raised #510086. Head is raised #301865. Other part numbers can be found but search at Sierra didn't provide any data other than "part not available". Any help as to year or HP would be helpfull. Can send pics if would help."

"Curt.... On those older models, the model number was usually imprinted on the port (left) side of the engine near or just below the powerhead. If such a number is there, what is it?"
