"Love the site great info thanks. Just got a new, old (1974), boat with an LM318 that I am going to replace with a rebuild. How do I tell the difference between an LA vs. LM long block motor?
The dealer tells me it’s an LM but I would like a second way of telling. I am in Australia so a long way from the suppliers if I get it wrong.
