DT65 TCLW 1998 controls compatible with DT85

(Golden site, just found it)

I am putting an older DT85 1980s model into my boat which has a 1998 DT65 - I would like to know if the DT65 controls can be used in DT85 - there's a lot of similarity in the connectors. The older connectors have no grey cable in the main connection. Plus I am "missing" a black cable on the DT65 Trim control .Any tips are welcome and gratefully recieved...happy new year to all. the older connecotr is the one with the pink/red cable

just make sure u connect the s

just make sure u connect the same colors to the original colors and u are fine
