My starter is bad and I want to order a new one before putting my boat in the yard. I can't find the engine serial #. The breaker box by the F.I. has a place for it but it is blank not worn off just blank. The owners manual for the engine has a sticker on it with 2 rows of what could be a serial #. I looked over the engine itself but no luck. Motor is 1994 Mercruiser 5.7 Bravo 1. Parts guy said there are 3 different starters so I must have #. Can't even hardly see the starter to check for a number very corroded.
Sticker reads....top row 4-57B111HS.....bottom row 0F420058. Sound like a serial # to anyone???
