I have a 1998 Yamaha 9.9HP lon
I have a 1998 Yamaha 9.9HP long shaft leaking oil from a small hole opening near the top of the shaft just below the upper unit. The hole looks like it is a either for a bolt or some type of opening for overflow. When in neutral the oil leaks very slowly but in gear and in higher trust it leaks much heavier. Is there some type of hose or gasket below the engine head that could be the culprit? Any suggestions on what might be the problem???
